The Space Between Us explores identity, fear, separation, and the possibility of interconnectedness.
The first work considers culture—the stories, traditions, beliefs, nations, and identities through which we learn to understand ourselves and one another. These identities can provide meaning and belonging, while also creating boundaries between “us” and “them.”
The Other Side of Fear turns inward. It considers the parts of ourselves we fear, reject, or project onto others—the shadow—and asks what becomes possible when we confront rather than deny them.
The final work expands outward toward creation and interconnectedness. Individual forms remain distinct, yet emerge from and participate in something larger. Here, duality is presented not as an error, but as part of human experience: the perception of separation within an interconnected whole.
Together, the works do not propose a single path or final truth. They offer a question: How much of the space between us is inherent—and how much have we created?
